Placing Photos in Objects

     Have you ever wanted to place an image inside a shape? Here is a fun Mother's Day project using a photo of your mother, and a heart shape. For Mother's Day, I thought it would be fun to take a nice photo of my mom and place it in a "heart shape". This is actually VERY easy to do with photoediting software. I have a tutorial on how to do this in Affiinity Photo, but it would also work for PhotoShop as well. You can place photos into any type of shaped object. This is called "Masking", or in other words you are using the shaped object to place over the photo. This "masks" or covers any part of the photo that is outside of the shape's borders.
